Privacy Policy & POPIA Notice
How we collect, use and protect personal information, and what your rights are under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
Last updated July 2026
1. Who we are
Ezra Technologies (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2024/677966/07), trading as Ezra Technologies, is the responsible party for the personal information described in this notice. We are based in KwaZulu-Natal, supporting businesses across South Africa.
Questions about this notice, or about personal information we hold, can be sent to our Information Officer at info@ezratechnologies.co.za or 073 040 6622, Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00.
2. What we collect
When you submit the enquiry form on this website, we collect:
- the name you provide;
- the email address you provide;
- the content of your message;
- the IP address the submission came from; and
- the date and time of the submission.
The IP address and timestamp are recorded for security purposes — specifically to detect and limit automated or abusive submissions. We do not ask for identity numbers, financial details or any special personal information through this website.
If you contact us by email, telephone or WhatsApp instead, we hold whatever information you choose to share in that conversation.
3. Why we collect it and on what basis
We use the information solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quotation, and deliver services you ask us to provide. Processing is based on your consent when you submit the form, and thereafter on the steps necessary to conclude or perform a contract with you.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for marketing purposes, and we do not add you to a mailing list without you asking us to.
4. Who else processes it
Enquiry form submissions are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a bot-detection service. Cloudflare receives technical data from your browser in order to confirm you are a human visitor. Cloudflare acts as an operator on our behalf.
Enquiry emails are delivered to our business mailbox through our email infrastructure. Beyond these, we do not transfer your personal information to third parties unless we are legally required to do so.
5. Cookies and tracking
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies. These are a session cookie and a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) token cookie, both of which are required for the enquiry form to work securely. Cloudflare Turnstile may also set a token required for its bot check.
We do not run advertising cookies, analytics cookies, remarketing pixels or third-party trackers on this website. Because no non-essential cookies are used, no cookie consent banner is presented. If we introduce analytics or tracking in future, this notice will be updated and consent will be requested first.
6. How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as needed to deal with your request and, where we go on to work together, for the duration of our business relationship plus any period required by law. Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted once they are no longer of any use. You may ask us to delete your enquiry sooner.
7. How we protect it
The website is served over HTTPS. The enquiry form is protected by CSRF tokens, rate limiting, a hidden spam trap field and server-side bot verification. Access to the mailbox that receives enquiries is restricted to Ezra Technologies personnel.
8. Your rights under POPIA
You have the right to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to delete information we no longer have grounds to keep;
- object to processing on reasonable grounds;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out; and
- lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
To exercise any of these, email info@ezratechnologies.co.za. We will respond within a reasonable period.
9. The Information Regulator
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal information, you may complain to the Information Regulator (South Africa) via inforegulator.org.za.
10. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as our services or legal obligations change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
